Most of our shipping methods take 2-3 business days to reach you.  Please review all shipping options before checking out.  Handling time is usually 24 hours, but can be up to 2 days or longer if your items are backordered.  In the event of a backorder, you will be notified immediately.   Please note, if after packing your items we find a large discrepancy in actual price versus shipping price, we will offer you a refund at our discretion.  For international shipping, please see below.

Returns are allowed for any reason within 14 days of receiving your order.  Refunds are given on merchandise only, and will not include shipping costs and the customer is responsible for return shipping.  Please contact us prior to sending a return.

Damaged items
In the unlikely event that your item is damaged in transit, you have 5 business days from the day you received the package to let us know that something is broken. Please keep all of the packing materials. We will give you instructions on how to send the item back. Please do not send any items back without prior authorization, these items will not be accepted.


General Questions

If I have a coupon, how do I use it?
On step 1 of 5 (the "Summary" page) when you are checking out there is a box that says "Vouchers" and "Code".  Click on "Add" and your total will be recalculated.  If you want to pick out your shipping method in step 2 and then go back and add your voucher, you can do that as well.

Do you offer in-store pick up?
We currently do not have a physical store, but we may have one again someday!  Our cards will soon be carried in stores across the country.  Please click on "Our Stores" at the bottom to find Violet Cottage Stationery at a store near you.

I would like to be added to your mailing list, how do I do that without creating an online account?
The easiest way for us to organize your information is to click on "your account" and open an account. However, if you would just like to receive emailed updates and/or postcards in the mail, please click on the "Contact Us" link and give us all your information!

Do you sell your items Wholesale?
Yes, we do!  To get more information, please contact us or sign up for a wholesale account by clicking here.

Do you sell your items internationally (outside of the US)?
We are not currently set up on the website to sell or ship internationally, however, you can contact us and we can put an order together for you or get you a catalog so you can fax in an order.  Please do not hesitate to ask!

How do I exercise my choices about receiving promotional communications?
We want to communicate with you only if you want to hear from us. If you prefer not to receive promotional information from us or if you do not want us to use your information to enhance your shopping experience, please let us know by calling us at (919) 228-8750, writing us at Violet Cottage, 7151 O'Kelly Chapel Road, Suite 185, Cary, NC 27519 or by sending us an e-mail. Please be sure to include your full name and the e-mail address you used when you registered with or made a purchase from us. If you ask us to remove your name and address from promotional lists, we will maintain your name in a "do not contact" file to ensure that we can honor your request. It may take up to 10 days to process your e-mail request, and 6-8 weeks to process your postal mail request, during which period you may continue to receive communications from Violet Cottage.

Please also note that when you purchase from us, we will continue to confirm your order by e-mail. In addition, we may also need to contact you via phone, e-mail or postal mail with other questions regarding your order.
