Reminder to puppy owners…
| Barkley is the oldest and wasn’t thrilled when Biscuit came along. We came up with the name Sir Barkley John because he sometimes evokes this attitude of royalty coupled with lots of stubbornness. He poses well for pictures and knows he’s cute. |

Little Biscuit is the baby huey of the family. Cute, rotund, happy as can be but kind of… well… he’s un-smart. Again, he’s adorable! |

Biscuit’s little cheek was recently all swollen and it looked like there was something wrong with his tear duct. Turns out he had a split tooth and it was infected! Poor little guy had the option of a root canal or an extraction so my Mom opted for the extraction.
So, here’s the reminder message… take your pups to the vet about every 6 months to have their teeth professionally cleaned… it’s very important! You should clean them at home often too! Meg has a deery lou toothbrush and she doesn’t mind when I go after her with it :)
this website is a little cheesy but it has some good facts on pet dental care.

I am happy to report that Biscuit is back home from his overnight hospital stay (minus one tooth) and is much better and seems more like his usual cartoon-dog self — not so green around the edges. Needless to say, I have made an appointment to have Barkley’s teeth examined and cleaned.
Barkley and I are so happy to have him back home (well, I know I am) because when Biscuit was gone it was like watching a movie with the sound turned down. The stillness was deafening.

[...] This is my favorite picture… because the boys are in it! I’ve blogged about them before, I really love these guys… they are so spoiled rotten!! You flip thru home and cottage magazines and wonder if the dogs and cats are real… I’m here to say, yes they are. It’s strange, Biscuit formed a bond with the photographer and posed for him, it was too cute. They felt right at home with the crew and I bet you it was actually hard keeping them out of some of the shots, they are little hams ;) You can see a few vintage dogs from my Mom’s collection of many, there’s another hanging violet picture and not too much else… it’s all pretty self-explanitory :) [...]
